I ran the Joe Kleinerman 10K race this weekend in Central Park. My Buddy Kurt Guenther was with me for this one. I wasn’t feeling 100% going into this run, and I ate a really shitty breakfast. I also tried to compete with Kurt so I ran too fast too soon and found myself dizzy around mile 4. I made myself stop at every water station which helped a bit. I ended up finishing the race, but I wasn’t happy with my time.
Click here for official times and see how bad I did.
Yesterday I ran when I got home and it felt like everything was better. I ran my fastest average pace, which was 8:54 per mile, for five miles. I think just like everything, we are going to hit slumps and shit is going to get harder, and then they get a million times easier once you get over that hill. Hopefully I’ll continue to improve.
