After posting about Kathy Allen recently it got me thinking about my crushes of the past. I figured I could write a story about each of them. That should be fun.
The second major crush in my life was a girl who lived up the street from me. Her name was Kelley Horne. To me she was like my own personal Winnie Cooper, and I had a voice over in my head whenever I saw her. She was this very adorable half asian/half white girl. The first time I saw her I introduced myself by riding my bike over her chalk drawings and screeching my tires in order to destroy her art work. My child like brain assumed that this would be a good tactic to gain attention. It gained resentment instead. Her brother on the other hand, Daniel, quickly attached himself to me. Possibly because I was a hero in his eyes in regards to what I had just done to his bigger sister. So in an effort to be closer to her, I instantly attached myself to him. I would go play basketball, Nintendo, Tag…whatever I could! Kevin needed to be near Winnie to win her heart.
I never once asked her to be my girlfriend. I mean it was only the 5th grade and I had a head the size and likeness of the Grey Hulk.

So I never got my Winnie, but the memory still stands.

Ahhh young love! Too funny Corey! Interesting idea. I'm afraid if I went back and named all my old crushes I'd only blog about that for the next year!
